About Leah
Hello, I'm Leah
I'm happiest when I'm helping and caring for others, bringing comfort in times of grief and joy to the wonderful occasion of a wedding or naming.
My working life so far has been varied and at times quite colourful. My early days as a fashion model, dancer and "stand-in" to the stars on many films and TV productions were hard work but equally enjoyable.
I trained to be a yoga teacher in 2002 and have taught yoga ever since to all ages and abilities. I'm also a qualified reflexologist, reiki healer and massage therapist.
I decided to train as a funeral celebrant during lockdown in 2020, after speaking to an old friend who had recently trained. I immediately felt a great surge of passion to follow in his footsteps, and began a new direction in my life. In 2021 I gained another diploma covering weddings, couples and naming ceremonies.
I'm organised and will put my heart and soul into creating a ceremony that is memorable and runs smoothly.
Training
- NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy
- NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Naming and Couples Celebrancy
- The highest level accredited national qualifications in celebrancy in the UK
- Committed to The Celebrant Accord from the Funeral Celebrancy Council
The most important part of my life is my family and friends, and being able to offer guidance, support, care and empathy to those who need it, in difficult times and in the happiest moments of their lives.
When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.Anon
